Movies, Horror, Twin Peaks,
  • Matthew has been published for over five years as the Keene Sentinel's Film Columnist, where he's written about topics such as the immersive empathy of "The Passion of Joan of Arc" and the disorienting horror of loneliness in "Krisha."
  • He received a national award from the Society for Collegiate Journalists in addition to being awarded the Equinox's 'Columnist of the Year.'
  • He's also had freelance pieces published with Bloody Disgusting, Shuffle Online, and more.

Matthew's spark for writing originated in high school, which eventually resulted in writing for The Equinox as their chief Film Critic. Since then, his indelible passion for writing has resulted in pieces published with Bloody Disgusting, holding a Film Columnist position with the Keene Sentinel, a mentorship with a silent film accompanist, and being accredited to the Cannes Film Festival. He believes that each new piece is a chance to become a better writer, and if his passion engages with even one reader, it's worth it. Give Matthew any chance to discuss horror movies and he'll very much jump at the opportunity.

Matthew graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Critical Film Studies at Keene State College. He also helped operate the campus movie theater in association with the KSC Film Society.
