Tyler "Llewyn" Taing is a culture writer based in San Francisco, California. He is also a volunteer content editor and social media coordinator for Film Crew, an independent publication focused on helping aspiring writers make their way into the world of film journalism. Before /News, he worked as the box-office concierge at the historic New Mission Cinema and curated selections of films for the lobby's Video Vortex rental service.


In 2021, Tyler received his Bachelor's degree in Film Studies from San Francisco State University, home of the gators.
