Whatever Happened To Carrie Henn, The Little Girl From Aliens?
Quit Acting
Before starring in “Aliens,” Carrie Henn lived in England at RAF Lakenheath, as her father was in the Air Force. After the film, she and her family moved to the U.S.
They decided to get out of the film industry. While she thought about getting back into acting, Henn wanted to have a normal life and adjust to living in America.
Became A Teacher
Eventually, Henn went to California State University at Stanislaus, where she pursued degrees in liberal studies and child development.
Henn told Tulsa World, " It wasn't my dream. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Was it an amazing experience? Absolutely. Would I do it again? Of course. But it wasn't my passion. Teaching was."
Newt’s Death
Although her character Newt had a disappointing death at the beginning of “Alien 3” that bothered fans and director James Cameron, Henn wasn’t bothered by it.
At the Alien 30 reunion at the San Diego Comic-Con, the former actress said, “By that stage I had already decided that I wanted to be a teacher.”
Sigourney Weaver
Henn may not have been in more “Alien” films, but she and co-star Sigourney Weaver stay in touch. They have had a strong connection since they met.
Henn told Wired, “I can’t describe my relationship with her, because she’s more than just a friend – what you see on screen is genuinely how we feel about each other.”
Aliens Fans
While Henn hasn’t been seen on the big screen since the iconic 1986 film, she is still happy to keep the legacy alive by regularly appearing at conventions.
Henn takes considerable delight in meeting fans and is active on X, where she keeps them updated on public appearances and posts plenty of “Aliens”-related content.
